Aida: School Edition
Aida: School Edition
Music by Elton John
Lyrics by Tim Rice
Book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls,
and David Henry Hwang
Directed by Daniel Kriley

Based on Giuseppe Verdi's italian opera, Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida rounded out the Disney Theatrical show list with a very heavy and emotional tale of a captured Nubian princess. Her regal status is unknown to her captors, the Egyptians, and she is forced to serve the Egyptian Captain, Radames, who is set to marry the princess Amneris and take the throne. Aida falls in love with her master, forcing her to choose between her new friendship with Amneris, her love for Radames, or the good of her country.
